Welcome to Keedz, the coolest marketplace where kids sell their pre-loved treasures and shop for awesome second-hand finds. It’s safe, fun, and easy!

We like to keep things fun, so we've given our Keedz users quirky names:
Nifty Thrifty
This is YOU when you’re selling! You're smart, creative, and making money from your old treasures.
Savvy Thrifty
This is YOU when you’re buying! You're savvy and save money by hunting for cool deals for less.

How to Create Your Shop & Start Selling

(Nifty Thrifty Mode)
Here’s how to open your very own shop (like a mini business for kids!):

Sign Up

Create a Keedz account with help from your parent/guardian.

Set Up Your Shop

Pick a fun shop name (like “Ella’s Treasure Chest” or “Max’s Mega Toy Store”) and add a profile picture.

List Your Items

Upload photos of your toys, books, clothes, or accessories. Remember You can sell used and new items; there is no limit!!!
  • Write a short, fun description (e.g., “Blue teddy, super cuddly, needs a new home”).
  • Choose one or more categories for your product.
  • Set your price (think of a price that you will be willing to pay for the item if you want to buy it).

Publish & Share

Hit “Submit” and your item is ready for Savvy Thrifties to discover!

How to Promote Your Shop - Get More Shoppers!

Once your shop is open, spread the word like a pro entrepreneur!
Share Your Shop Link
Every Keedz shop has its own link. Ask your parent to post it on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or even tell your friends at school. You can make special cards for your shop, and hand them out!
Take Fun Photos & Videos
Ask your parents to help you. Show off your items in TikToks, Reels, or Stories.
Be Creative
Make posters, tell your friends, or host a “Keedz Sale Day” where you drop new items.
Be Friendly & Active
Reply quickly to Curious Thrifties and keep your shop updated.

How to guide
Pictures make your shop POP! Here’s how to take photos like a pro:

Good Light

Take photos near a window or outside.

Clean Background

Use a plain wall, table, or even a colourful blanket.

No Blur!!

Make sure your camera is focused on the item for clear images.

Show All Angles

Front, back, close-up (especially if there are scratches).

Add Some Fun

Put your toy in a cool pose or show how clothes look when worn.

How Buying & Selling Works

Here’s the step-by-step journey from Nifty Thrifty to Savvy Thrifty:
1

Nifty Thrifty lists an item

Example: Maya lists her skateboard for R600.

Savvy Thrifty buys it

Liam spots the skateboard, loves it, and clicks “Buy.”

Shipping options

Maya ships the skateboard to Liam (with parent help).
4

10-Day Check

Liam has 10 Days to check the skateboard, to respond and return the item from receipt.
  • If it’s good → Liam clicks ✅ “All good!”
  • If it’s not what he expected → Liam clicks ❌ “Not happy” and returns it.

Money Release

Once Liam says “all good” OR 7 days pass with no complaint:
  • Maya (Nifty Thrifty) gets her earnings released from the Keedz Wallet.

Refunds

Liam returns the skateboard, Maya reactivates the skateboard in her Keedz shop, and Liam's money goes back to him via the keedz Wallet.

Buyer Protection Fee

Here’s how it works
At Keedz, we charge a small Buyer Protection Fee to keep everyone safe and happy while buying and selling. This fee helps us run the platform and lets us keep the buyer’s money safely in the Keedz Holding Wallet until the item has been checked.

Good Light

When a buyer pays for an item, the money goes into the Keedz Holding Wallet, not straight to the seller.
2

Clean Background

The buyer then has 10 calendar days to check the item and make sure it arrived in good condition.

No Blur!!

If the buyer clicks “Received & Happy,” Keedz releases the money to the seller.
4

Show All Angles

If the buyer says nothing after 10 days, we assume all is good and automatically release payment to the seller.

Add Some Fun

This system protects both the Smartie Seller and the Savvy Saver, so everyone can shop safely and confidently.
